And so the end is near…

So we’ve made it to the end of this leg of the tour and I have never seen so much snow in such a short time

As I write we’re in Indianapolis the photos and video were fish ladder park in Grand Rapids

So once tonight is done with there’s no sleep for the wicked – I had a choice of getting a later flight and getting home on Tuesday or leaving literally at the crack of dawn (5:30am including a layover ) to get back “home” tomorrow so being the insane fool I can be I went for that

No more road life now till end of April – I’ll probably be going stir crazy in a few weeks when I am back to the studios base after nearly a year in London and will be climbing the walls

But once April starts it’s all go to the middle of July with festivals and U.K. dates then I’ll be complaining I’ve had enough of touring !!

Days at sea and Nassau

So we set off Sunday afternoon bang on time

First night on board was getting my sea legs so to speak and trying to find our way round what is to be home till Thursday

Haven’t slept so well on tour in ages as I did on the boat – whether it was the rocking I don’t know but woke up totally refreshed

Today has been a shore visit to Nassau third time for me here

That was a speeded up sunset on Sunday evening

So the band are headlining tonight and we have a shore day at half moon cay tonight

I love my job but there have been times today when memories sneak out of my eyes and roll down my cheek

24 hours in Paris 🇫🇷

So the tour reached the French capital playing at the one venue I’d been dreading after losing my best friend there in an attack 2 years ago

Even had a chat with a sad pigeon and gave it both my pastries as it had lost a foot

There hasn’t been a day like yesterday when I’ve cried that much in decades everything suddenly hit me like a steam train 🚂 just how much I miss him but I came and did what I had to do and said my goodbyes

Today was a day off (Saturday) so what else to do Christmas shopping Parisian style

So we hit the champs elysees with gusto lol 😆

Louis Vuitton. Tiffany’s Stopping to see some Christmas 🎄 horses 🐴 as well as lunch at Paul’s followed by a trip up the Eiffel tour

Back to the hotel for a quick change and back out to see the lights So all in all it’s been a great day

Tour rolls on and we got the U.K. on Tuesday

Pyramid of the sun ⛅️ Mexico 🇲🇽

So it’s back on the road after a few weeks off for recouperation after the knee op

Literally just a flying visit ahead of the U.K. and Europe dates in November

So what is the best cure for jet lag ?? Sightseeing !!!!! 📷

Pyramid of the sun ⛅️ is an hour from Mexico City

Quite interesting place to see and not as busy as the Inca trail which made a surprise

But if City exploring in the morning ahead of the festival and then back to the U.K.

And now the end is near…………

So we have 3 shows of this tour left and then it’s home sweet home

I will be SO pleased to be away from America – don’t get me wrong I love the country etc but when you go to the same place time after time or are stuck in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do , you do start looking for a jacket you can hug yourself in after a while.

So here we are in Indianapolis , I am mentally and physically drained , I just want 24 hours solid sleep with no one telling me we need to leave for the venue, no travelling through the city to the next location just pure sleep !!!

Of course once I do get home it’s only for 13 days then off to Australia and New Zealand – I think I may as well just spend my life living out a of a suitcase with revolving doors !!!

Don’t get me wrong I love my job it’s just at times like today when pain is kicking in 100% and the last thing I want to do is be dragged sight seeing , here again tomorrow and then off to Missouri,
