Birthday and Back on the road ……… or should that be sea ?????

So for the 3rd year running being on tour for my birthday was the “thing” though this year I wasn’t leaving till the afternoon.

Thoroughly spoilt IMG_3851IMG_3853IMG_3857IMG_3858Cards alone showed that, present wise case of what didn’t I get from friends and family etc, Soap n glory gift sets, snow white lipgloss, stationary, necklace, sweets, bowie book, keyring, perfume, money box, address book, belt, labyrinth framed print , satchel, cuddly lamb, , and sweatshirt from jilted generation.

Off to Heathrow in the afternoon and onto Newark for a layover then finally got to the hotel around 2am Saturday morning

We have to be at Port Canaveral for 2pm and set sail at 4pm, this is my first ever cruise and a work trip to boot πŸ™‚

Nassau for the day on Monday and I can’t wait

On the road again

In 5 days roadlife 2018 starts again , well I say starts I have to leave for Florida that afternoon ….. any other time I’d be dying to get back to the band but having to leave on my birthday before I even have time to cut the cake I am not impressed .

Only plus side we are doing a festival on a cruise ship my first one ever so I suppose I shouldn’t grumble too much

Sunday depart port at 4pm

Monday Full day in Nassau

Tuesday Full day in Half Moon Cay

Wednesday full day at sea

Thursday back to port at 8am

Friday back to the UK

Anywhere is better than the cold days of the UK mid 70’s is better than sitting here with the heating on and a hot water bottle to stop the shivers

So expect photos of beaches and oceans lol

Bowie πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸŽ€ 🎀 πŸŽΆ

10th January 2017 was the 2nd anniversary since we lost the legend that was David Bowie

There was no where else I’d rather have been than Brixton so despite a very wet morning off I headed to the train πŸš‚ station in the pouring rain β˜”οΈ

The place was awash with flowers and fans already by the time I got there at lunchtime it’s lovely to see what people still want to show their respects πŸ’πŸŒΈπŸŒ·πŸŒΌπŸŒΉπŸŒ»πŸ₯€πŸŒΊ

From there jumped back on the 🚊 into the west end to go to 23 haddon street where David shot the cover to one of the Ziggy albums

Again the place was covered in flowers

Roo 🐱

Sometimes when you order an important item on line you regret it

Not with the gravestone for Roo

Couldn’t be anymore perfect

Bulbs are planted which will come up in the next few months but standing in the rain β˜”οΈ crying 😭 my heart πŸ’” out I need to reset the stone and push it down some more

Whatever cloud ☁️ you’re sitting on Roo along with all the brothers and sisters before you and your cat friends at the other side of the rainbow 🌈 I hope you can see us

Goodbye Roo , fly free over Rainbow Bridge

Today has been a very sad day for all the family , our beautiful ginger tabby Roo (aka Roo Boogaloo / Cheeky Monkey) crossed Rainbow Bridge during the early hours of the morning.

She was nearly 8 and we wish we knew what had happened , she was fine yesterday , went to bed as normal and passed away in her sleep .

She had been with us 5 years since turning up as a stray in the garden that nobody knew where she came from, we called her Pumpkin originally, that got changed to Ruby before finally sticking with Roo.

Roo was a very independent cat, if she didn’t want to come in after playing she wouldn’t – in the summer it was hell to get her in we literally had to leave the door open and hide behind it when she sneaked it to get it shut lol

Where I live is a cul de sac and next to a park , I hated her going up there as dogs get walked and could easily have chased her onto the main road

She loved chasing the squirrels and times I had to take mice off her before she decided to see “if it’s batteries needed changing” , she was a cheeky monkey, but loved posing with her “pumpkin” hat on.Β  She adored her “licky lix”, encore dinners , even discovered her love for smoked salmon over this Christmas when she kept stealing it from my best friend’s sandwich when he was staying with us for the holidays .

She has now been buried , with her favourite blankets and best toy “brown bear” that she took everywhere in the house , even though she managed to pull one of his arms off palying too roughlyΒ  her grave is near Hatty in the garden who died in 2010 , we’ve planted a mini rose and daffodils , when the weather improves we’ll add more spring bulbs and wildflower seeds , and have ordered a slate memorial marker for her final resting place .

Sleep tight beautiful girl , life won’t be the same without you , the others miss you already , but I know over Rainbow Bridge you’ll be reunited with your friends Smudgie, Emily, Sock, Darcy, Olly, Louie, Tibs, Harley, as well as the brothers and sisters you never knew Harry, Catty, Hatty, Poppy, Theo, and Daisy.

With all the photos we have of you you will never be forgotten and nobody can ever replace you

We love you Monkey xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

End of the road

After 6 months on and off Christ knows how many miles and same goes for countries finally home

Got home Saturday morning , by Saturday afternoon voice disappeared altogether and has been like that since – not to mention having the same amount of energy as a half dead slug

Still we have just under 5 weeks off now before leaving again on 19th January (also my birthday) so I am planning on doing as little as possible – I don’t care it’s Christmas next week all I can say is BAH HUMBUG !!!!

All that needs doing is food shopping but I really can’t be arsed to battle round the OAP brigade who waddle into town for something to do / get in everyone’s way/ don’t understand the words excuse me

So think majority of food shopping will be done courtesy of home delivery for a change I might be brave enough to face Tesco at the end of the week for fresh stuff but then again I may talk someone else into doing it for me
